For us, it is very important to offer our customers individual service tailored to their needs. To this effect Rotimpres was the first sector company to incorporate staccato screening on press paper prints.
By offering cutting-edge CTP thermal platesetter output (Trendsetter News), we can prepare the plates with very small, precise screen dots that guarantee stability.
Stochastic screening (FM, Frequency Modulation) consists in varying the number and concentration of screen dots at the time of printing while maintaining the same dot size. As a result all of them have the same diameter and surface area.
In contrast, conventional screens (AM, Amplitude Modulation) are based on varying the dot size of the screen to be printed while always maintaining the same spacing between screen dots, depending on the screen pitch. It's as though the screen dots were printed in different sizes but within a fixed matrix that is defined by the pitch (dot per centimetre or dot per inch).
