Company specialized in printing on a web offset printing press and environmentally comitted

PrepressAbout us

The independence that comes from not belonging to any publishing group has enabled us to choose our own path - a path of sustained, export-based growth (over 70% of our turnover) - and our mission is to continue the worldwide increase of our company's prestige.

With one of the most technologically advanced prepress systems on the market, we at Rotimpres like to make things easier for our customers by offering services and tailor-made solutions that have been developed over years of accumulated experience in addition to services and solutions offered by our technological partners, with whom we have developed work processes designed to ensure full customer satisfaction.

What are the solutions that help us stand apart from the competition today?

An onsite team works alongside the customer in the search for continuous product improvement through improved file preparation. Our technicians will provide the necessary offset printing press expertise and act as a bridge between the customer and Rotimpres.

We offer our customers five cutting-edge CTP lines complete with folding systems and plate registration for artificial vision, thereby ensuring highly reliable platemaking.

Our in-house FTP server ensures the privacy and security of customer files.

We have designed a colour management system that allows for RGB file management. This results in significantly improved ink coverage, greater fidelity of the printed results – with greater adherence to the values of the original images - as well as reduced times spent on customer file preparation as CMYK conversion is unnecessary.

By using a simple web browser that can be accessed from any internet connection, this portal becomes a basic tool of interaction between the customer and Rotimpres. Very intuitive and easy to use, it allows files to be sent, file verification by one or more users, online technical testing and correction, file approvals, etc.

In order to ensure faithful reproduction of file images we offer our customers an automatic imaging service based on the programmes Q-Enhancer and Photoware.

For us, it is very important to offer our customers individual service tailored to their needs. To this effect Rotimpres was the first sector company to incorporate staccato screening on press paper prints.

What is it based on?

By offering cutting-edge CTP thermal platesetter output (Trendsetter News), we can prepare the plates with very small, precise screen dots that guarantee stability.

Stochastic screening (FM, Frequency Modulation) consists in varying the number and concentration of screen dots at the time of printing while maintaining the same dot size. As a result all of them have the same diameter and surface area.

In contrast, conventional screens (AM, Amplitude Modulation) are based on varying the dot size of the screen to be printed while always maintaining the same spacing between screen dots, depending on the screen pitch. It's as though the screen dots were printed in different sizes but within a fixed matrix that is defined by the pitch (dot per centimetre or dot per inch).

The advantages of stochastic screening are as follows:

  • Elimination of moiré.
  • Elimination of the original moiré.
  • Elimination of rosette.
  • Printing with continuous tones.
Further advantages:

In addition, stochastic screening offers further advantages:

  • Improved colour stability: using very small, uniform dots means there is less screen dot variation as they are coated with ink.
  • Less colour pollution on the medium where the paper is being printed: as the screen dots are closer together when reproducing a colour, the visual space left by the print medium colour is reduced.
  • Better detail definition: it's as though the print were reproduced using very high resolution.
  • Better image contrast.
  • Wide range of printed colours (wider colour range).

The Prinergy Connect workflow allows fully automated file processing. Work standard is based on the PDF/X standard.
